YouTube via statikfire “A little jam out with some friends. Quasimidi 309, Audio Damage Tattoo, and RY-30 all behaving as drum machines. Some additional walks and FX by Dave Smith Evolver MEK, and Clavia Nord Lead (Original). Filmed by my lovely wife Diane. MP3 available upon request. The AD tattoo is able to do A LOT more than what I am using it for here, but hey, it’s another drum machine and I love it. I’ll get fancy another day. Samples (stock on 309) remind me of Thrill Kill Kult.”

via this auction and this auction “Casio PT-7 (instrument with tiny polyphonic touch sensor keypad & analogue rhythm) This is clearly one of the most bizarre and innovative instruments created by Casio, because this tiny thing has a detachable keyboard with 29 soft touch foil keys, and this is not just a monophonic toy tablehooter but a real 8 note(!) polyphonic instrument with analogue rhythm and a small but high quality loudspeaker that makes a very respectable organ sound. This strange Casio invention permits special play techniques with very rapid glissandos and was one of the forgotten milestones in the struggle of overcoming the clumsy piano key relic on electronic consumer instruments. main features: * 29 tiny soft touch foil keys on a detachable slim line keyboard with short cable * built-in astonishing reasonable sounding small speaker * 8 notes polyphony * separate knobs for main and rhythm volume * tempo knob * 6 preset rhythms {waltz, samba, swing, slow rock, pops, rock} selected by a slide switch * 8 OBS preset sounds {piano, elec. piano, organ, pipe organ harp, accordion, clarinet, violin} selected by a 4-step slider + switch * main voice CPU “HD44140, 3G 13″ (56 pin SMD) with timbres based on multipulse squarewave tones with different digital envelopes, those are differently low pass filtered through capacitors

See more synth centric makemagazines posted here . “Making your own printed circuit board can be a truly satisfying process, tying together electronics and the handmade craft of etching. It’s the most accurate way to build a circuit short of sending away to a PCB manufacturer and it’s a lot more fun (+ cheaper too!).”

Nothing serious here, just experimenting to see what patterns I might find by switching switches. This is a basic 3-voice patch – first voice is the Ian Fritz DoubleDekka VCO into the Mankato filter, with a bit of delay from the Blacet Time Machine. Second voice is the Ian Fritz Teezer VCO into the MOTM 440 filter. Third voice is a MOTM 300 into the Tellun Doomsday Machine and then into the MOTM 480 filter.

YouTube via hotchk155 “The first step in a project to make a glitchy sampler/looper/sound mangler using a PIC and a static RAM chip. Breadboard has PIC16F727 (40 pin), a 512K SRAM with a couple of octal latches to drive the 19 address bits from a single 8 bit address bus, and an 8 bit DAC. Here I am just using the PIC’s built in ADC (not perfect for audio). Input is coming from an MP3 player (‘The City Sleeps’ by MC900Ft Jesus)”

via this auction “The Wasp is a quirky little synthesizer that, despite its toyish look, is quite capable of funky analog sounds. It really is black and yellow too, just like the insect it is named for. Probably its most distinguishing feature is the keyboard and its non-moving touch-sensitive keys. That’s right, the flat little keys are only sensitive to your electro-static touch. It’s a nifty technology for 1978. There’s also a little speaker built-in to the synth and EDP’s own pre-MIDI connectors for linking to other Wasps and EDP gear and can be used with Kenton gear to control via MIDI.” Note the vidoe in the auction and below if from 2008 and likely not the unit for sale, but who knows… previously posted
